“What is so exciting about monumental sculpture is that it can engage in direct dialogue with a group of men and women, rather than isolated individuals; in this respect, I find it has a primary media function, in both the ancestral and fundamental sense, where the meta-object addresses the ‘tribe’ of spectators directly, creating a transpersonal dimension.”
