“I approach the design of a garden or outdoor space in the same way I approach architecture: through its complexity. Designing a path, planning a layout, arranging equipment, or choosing plants and materials is no trivial matter. Everything depends on use, durability, aesthetics, and ecology, and everything works together. Thus, an outdoor space is experienced, appreciated, and maintained in all its details, never in a purely functional or purely aesthetic way, but always in the plurality of its aspects.”

Hanging Garden

Set on a steeply sloping plot with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees, Le Jardin de Carla is a topographical challenge transformed into a contemporary recreational space. Balancing extreme constraints with the enhancement of the landscape, it combines a summer house, a swimming pool, wooden terraces, and understated, modern landscaping.
